It is my pleasure to be the LRC Director at Wolf`s Crossing Elementary. I enjoy sharing my love of reading, books and technology with your students.
I was born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri where I grew up cheering on the Saint Louis Cardinals!! No matter where my husband and I call home we both remain avid Saint Louis Cardinals fans.
I met my husband in high school and we were married when I graduated from the University of Missouri. We have no children, but enjoy the companionship of our two dogs, Auggie, a 95 pound chocolate lab, and Linus, a 17 pound Bichon Frizee.
My husband and I (along with our pets) have traveled from coast to coast with his job. I have lived in St. Paul, Minnesota (4 different times), Indianapolis, Indiana, Portland, Oregon, Flemington, New Jersey, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Baltimore,Maryland, and finally Chicago, Illinois.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English and Education from University of Missouri at St. Louis. my Masters in Teaching in Language Arts and Reading from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon and my Masters in Library Services from Rutgers Unviersity in New Jersey.
I have been in the education/public service field all of my career. I was a junior high English teacher, junior high Reading teacher, a pre-school special needs teacher, a university librarian, a public librarian, a high school media specialist and an elementary information specialist.
I love the water and my husband and I have a lake cottage in northeastern Minnesota. I love to jet ski, boat and fish. Other passions are golf, reading, cooking and going to the beach (somewhere warm!).
It is my privilege and joy to interact with you and your students and instill my passion for books, reading, technology, and life long learning. This is a wonderful school community and I enjoy being an active community member.
