Welcome to Mrs. Gordon`s Third Grade Class!

My name is Jennifer Gordon and I am excited to be your child`s teacher this school year.  I have been teaching at the elementary level for eleven years in grades kindergarten, first and third.  My undergraduate degree is from North Central College in Elementary Education and I have a Master`s Degree in Educational Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University.  I continue the learning process through graduate coursework and participation at conferences and workshops.  I am the co-chair of the building Character Committe and enjoy the involvement and relationships I have formed teaching at this wonderful school.

Homework Procedures and Policy:

Homework is assigned on a daily basis.  Students are responsible for writing down their assignements in their Student Planners and having their parents sign their Planner nightly.  Homework is generally due the next school day unless otherwise stated.  If a student does not complete an assignement on time they are required to fill out a Missing Homework note to be signed by their parent. 

3~G Class Rules:

1.  Follow the ~Golden Rule~Treat others the way you would like to be treated.

2.  We follow directions.

3.  We raise our hands to speak.

4.  We use quiet voices.

5.  We have fun!

Behavior Consequences:

Student`s will be given three verbal warnings if they are not following the rules.  The consequence for not following the rules or changing their behavior after they have been given warnings/reminders is the student is required to complete a Broken Rule Note which needs to be signed by their parent.
