Profile

Hello! My name is Julie Cronin, and I teach fifth grade at the Wheatlands. This is my third year teaching here. I have taught for MANY years-too many to count-before arriving at the Wheatlands. I taught in Southern California for 18 years in Long Beach and Tustin. While in California I taught at the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade levels. I also was a kindergarten through fifth grade science specialist.

I grew up in Crystal Lake. I am the oldest of six children. I graduated from Crystal Lake Central High School and Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL. I received my masters degree from Northern Illinois University. My husband, Stephen, is a first grade teacher in Batavia. I have two sons. John is in eighth grade, and Joe is a fourth grader.

After living in California for eighteen years, we moved to Batavia four years ago. I enjoy living in the tri-city area. I am happy to be back in Illinois and spend time with my parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews. My family keeps me very busy!

At home, I enjoy cooking, sewing, reading, and tennis. At school, I teach an ASEP Science class and am a co-sponsor of the student council.
