Welcome To Music At The Wheatlands!Music tells us stories. Music encourages. Music inspires.
Music helps people to express things in themselves that can be
communicated no other way.
Students attend music two times a week for 30 minutes each. Each grade level learns something different, and each year the student add more on to things that they have learned before. This prepares them for music beyond the elementary level and if they choose to not participate in music during their junior high and high school years, the things that they learn during these elementary music years will teach them to respect and admire music and musicians that they encounter in everyday life.
The Elementary Specials Grading Scale is as follows:
E= Exceeds Requirements
M= Meets Requirements
D= Developing Skills Toward Requirements
Click on each grade level to find out what we are doing in music this month! If possible, there are additional links provided for you to gain more information on a specific subject, and study guides to help you and your child review for upcoming tests.
