Background
I have been an educator since 1988 where I began teaching third grade at Koraes School in Palos Hills. Though I have taught a variety of courses and grades levels, I have found working with middle school students to be the most rewarding. This is my thirteenth year teaching reading and language arts at Traughber Junior High.
In 1988 I graduated from Aurora University with my Bachelor`s Degree in Education. My graduate work in reading was completed at Northern Illinois University; Master`s Degree in Reading in May 2000, and a Reading Specialist Certificate in the fall of 2001. I am a state certified reading specialist.
I believe learning to be a life-long process. Currently I am working on the internship for my Master`s Degree in Educational Leadership from NIU and, I am preparing a porfolio to become Nationally Board certified (NBPTS).
