Within this site, I have supplied you with fun web links relating to what we`re studying in each of the classes. The students can practice math, geography, social studies, and English interactively on these links in their spare time at home.
. . . Just a little about my background: before teaching at the middleschool/jr. high level, I worked in corporations in downtown Chicago in marketing and administration. My M.Ed. is from DePaul University, my undergraduate degree is from Michigan State University, and I received my ELL endorsement from National Louis University. I`m working towards my bilingual endorsement (hopefully, 2009-2010) and National Board Certification. I am endorsed to teach ELL, math, social science, language arts, Spanish, family and consumer science, and business/economics/marketing.
I switched careers to become a teacher because I wanted to do something with "heart and soul" for a living in an environment that cared deeply for people. I love how refreshing children can be, so I chose teaching and have absolutely no regrets.
