I graduated in 2002 from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL with a bachelors degree in mathematics and physics. I also have a masters degree in teaching from National Louis University.
This is my third year teaching at Traughber. My wife Michele teaches fourth grade at Lakewood Creek Elementary. Our daughter Leah was born this last March.
I love math and logic puzzles. I use puzzles and games throughout my classes to teach students to find different ways of tackling a problem. Learning how to solve a difficult problem and having the determination to keep looking for a solution are two of the most important skills a student can take away from a math class.
