Profile:
This is my second year at Thompson. Previously, I worked in both Chicago and Portland, OR as a high school counselor for eight years. I am enjoying my junior high experience and look forward to a great year.
I received my B.A. in Communication and Theatre from the University of Notre Dame in 1994. After working in downtown Chicago for a few years, I decided to change careers and go into education. In 2000, I received my M.Ed. in Human Service and Counseling from DePaul University and have been a happy school counselor ever since.
This past summer my family moved from Chicago (whew, that commute is over!) to Naperville. I have two pre-schoolers who keep me quite busy when I`m not at work. This year, in addition to counseling, I will be taking over as coach of the Thompson Pom Squad. Please see the link on the right hand side for more info.
Contacting Me:
People contact us counselors for a variety of reasons. We are here to support students in their academics, social/emotional growth, and career development. Often times if parents or students aren`t sure who to speak to about an issue, they start with us. For bigger issues, please contact me directly by phone or e-mail to set up an appointment. If you happen to be in the building, you are always welcome to stop by and chat.
