Profile
Hello, my name is Dan Durbin, and I have been the teaching at Thompson for the past five years. I began my career as Substitute Teacher in the Roxana CUSD#1 for three years. From there I moved on to Salem Community High School and taught Health and Driver Education for two years before moving north.
I grew up in southwestern Illinois near St. Louis, Missouri. After high school, I attended Southern Illinois University @ Edwardsville where I received my Bachelor`s Degree in School Health Education.
I am very active in extra-curricular activities here in District 308. I am in my fifth year, twelfth overall, coaching high school football (OEHS). I am currently in my fifth year coaching 8th grade girls basketball and fourth year involved with intramurals.
I am excited to be involved with District 308, and a part of the team at Thompson Junior High
