One of my goals for students is to help them become self-directed learners, to maximize their learning. Students are learning and practicing each of the following habits:
1. Managing Impulsivity (thinking before acting)
2. Listening and paying attention
3. Checking for Accuracy
4. Flexibility (open-mindedness)
5. Persistence
6. Using Past Knowledge

9. Metacognition (reflecting on one’s thinking processes)
10. Precision of Language and Thought (saying exactly what one means and thinking specifically)
