After a ten year career in the recruiting industry, I decided to follow a long term dream and go back to college to become a teacher. I already had a BA in English Literature from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, so I researched career changing master`s degree programs. I chose National-Louis University, and I graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching degree. I am certified to teach both English and Social Science, grades K-9.

My family decided we wanted to live in the community where I teach, so we researched surrounding school districts. I was thrilled to accept a position in District 308, and we are so glad I did. I was lucky enough to help open Plank Junior High, and the 2009-2010 school year will be my fourth year in the district. I currently teach 6th Grade Language Arts and 6th Grade AT Language Arts. I also sponsor the Junior Optimist Club, which meets the first and third Mondays of each month in F123.
