As a Pirate at Plank Jr. High, I begin my 16th year of teaching. This year I teach 6th grade Word Geography. My Bachelor`s Degree is from the University of St. Francis, in Joliet, IL. I went on to earn my Master`s Degree from Aurora University. Because I consider myself a lifelong learner, I continue to take many post-graduate courses on a regular basis.
Growing up in Aurora, my family and I traveled all over the United States, camping in a trailer and seeing many fun, historical, and beautiful places. This sparked my love for Social Studies...thanks Mom and Dad. Another passion that developed when I was young, was performing as a musician and actor in school plays. These experiences all build great confidence, and I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm for these areas with my Plank students throughout the school year.
