Mrs. Erica Lorenz
Profile
I am one of the 6th grade science teachers at Plank and enjoy being a
Pirate! This is my fourth year at Plank and my eigth year teaching in the
Oswego School District. Prior to Plank, I taught 5th grade at Fox Chase
Elementary. Being a graduate of the Oswego school system, I am proud to
continue this tradition of education.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Aurora University with a major in
Elementary education and minor in biology. I have education endorsements
in the biological and environmental sciences. In 2006, I also received a
Masters in Educational Leadership from Aurora U. Besides science,
another passion of mine is athletics. While at Aurora U, I was on their
women`s basketball and volleyball teams. I share these interests with our
students by coaching the Plank girls` intramural basketball program and working as the
Head Coach for Oswego High School`s Girls` volleyball team.
Whether it is on a court for an athletic competition or in my science lab,
I enjoy seeing our students learn and grow!
