Dear Parents,

Welcome!  I am very excited about this year for many reasons. 

For one, this is my seventh year teaching, but my first year back to 4^th grade after teaching 5^th grade for a year and being a reading specialist last year!  I graduated from Northern Illinois University in December of 2002 and University of St. Francis in May 2008, with my master`s degree in education with a reading specialization. I was born and raised in Yorkville, and am currently residing there again.

This year is also exciting because Old Post is a wonderful school to be part of.  For my first four years, I had the privilege of teaching 4^th grade here.  Before that, I was an assistant for 2^nd and 4^th grade at Old Post so many faces and families are very familiar.  The staff here is wonderful and part of a great school system.  I am very fortunate to be part of the staff!

I am very passionate about children and teaching and thankful for the profession I am in.  I am positive this year is going to be a great year.  I anticipate your child to grow mentally, physically, and socially throughout this year.  I look forward to working with you and your child to help this happen.
