Welcome to Mrs. Todd`s Class!!

Welcome to the new school year here at Old Post Elementary!  I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer.  I am thrilled to be working with your child.  We have many exciting and interesting things planned for this year.  It will be a year of many changes for your child.  One of my greatest joys in teaching fourth grade is watching the children grow both academically and socially.

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself.  My name is Deanne Todd.  I graduated from Aurora University.  My family and I have lived in Oswego for 15 years.  My husband, Ken, and I have 2 sons, Matt and Mike.  Matt is a sophomore at Northern Illinois University majoring in music education and Mike is a senior at Oswego High School.

During the first weeks of school, the class will be learning our classroom routines and procedures.  I am enclosing an overview of our class procedures for you to review.  Throughout the year, I will be sending home monthly newsletters to let you know what we are working on in class.  I realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility.  I will do my best this year to ensure that each student has a positive learning experience in our classroom.

Additionally, if you would be interested in volunteering in our classroom, please let me know.  We will have several opportunities for parent volunteers throughout the year.
