Ms. Stephanie Silosky
Profile
Ms. Silosky teaches Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz II and School of Rock at OHS in addition to assisting with the band program at Plank Junior High. She earned her Bachelor`s Degree in Music Education from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in May, 2006.
Participating in a variety of ensembles throughout her time at U of I, Ms. Silosky performed with the University`s Wind Ensemble, Concert Bands, Jazz Bands and Athletic Bands, including the Marching Illini. In addition to having acted as president for the U of I National Band Association Student Chapter, she also conducted the Illini Union Board 2005 Musical, "Guys and Dolls". Furthermore, Ms. Silosky participated in activities outside of U of I, including marching mellophone with the GLASSMEN DRUM & BUGLE CORPS during the 2003 and 2004 seasons.
Her professional memberships include the Illinois Music Educators Association, Music Educators National Conference and The National Band Association. Ms. Silosky is also currently a staff member for the Lemont High School Marching Band and the Poynton Commodores Drum and Bugle Corps, Poynton, England.
