Here are answers to a few frequently asked questions....

 

 

How can I montor my child`s progress?

To monitor your student`s grades please sign up for Parent Home Access.  Grades are updated weekly.  If you do not have Home Access, please contact the main office at (630) 636-2200 and ask for your password.

 

 

What does the blank space in the gradebook mean?

1. Your student can still complete the missed assignment due to a class absence.  

OR

2.  I am in the process of grading the assignment and I will enter the grades soon. 

 

How can I get teacher updates about my child`s progress? 

Please feel free to e-mail me for an update as often as desired.  Since I have 100 students, it is so much easier to respond to incoming parent e-mails than trying to keep track of which parents want regular e-mails sent home.  Thank you for helping me keep you informed.

 

What should my child do if he is absent?

1.  Every student has chosen 3 homework buddies to call if they ever absent.  Please remind them to call their buddies if they are well enough to stay caught up.

2..  Check the website link to DAILY ASSIGNMENTS to see what was covered and what is due the next day.

3.  Check the class calendar posted on the wall in our classroom upon their return.

4.  See me or e-mail me if more information / help is needed.

STUDENT TO STUDENT CONTACT IS IMPORTANT FOR CLASS PROJECTS. 

PLEASE ALLOW YOUR CHILD TO USE A PHONE OR COMPUTER FOR CLASS PROJECTS

EVEN IF THEY HAVE BEEN RESTRICTED FROM USING IT TO SOCIALIZE. 

THEY HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED HOMEWORK BUDDIES TO CALL FOR MISSED ASSIGNMENTS. 

STUDENT GRADES WILL BE AFFECTED IF THEY DO NOT COMPLETED ASSIGNED WORK!
