Mrs. McKenzie`s 4th Grade Website
Welcome to 4th Grade with Mrs. McKenzie! I am very excited to be teaching your child this year!
A Little Bit About Me: I received my Bachelor of Arts in English from Augustana College (Rock Island, IL) in 2001. After working outside of education for 2 years, I decided to go back to school and get my teaching degree. In May of 2005, I received my Master of Arts in Teaching from Aurora University.
This is my fifth year of teaching 4th grade at Lakewood Creek. Prior to coming here, I worked as a Reading Assistant at East View Elementary for two years. I am an active member of Lakewood Creek`s Math Committee. I also serve on the District Elementary Math Task Force and am one of three Grade Level Leaders for the 4th grade.
My husband, Brian, and I live in Montgomery with our daughter Leah and our dog, Max. Outside of school, I love to spend time with my family and friends and when I have time, I enjoy reading and scrapbooking.
