I am looking forward to another great year at the Beach!    I live in Batavia with my dog, Elroy, but I`ll be moving to Aurora in the district 308 area soon!   My parents live in Batavia too. I have an older sister who lives in Bognor Regis in the United Kingdom, and a younger sister, who goes to Wartburg College in Waverly, IA.  I`m also engaged and will be getting married in March 2010.  I am a huge  Green Bay Packers   fan!!! (I did live in Wisconsin).  I absolutely love dogs, reading, walking, and scrapbooking. This is my third year at Long Beach, and I am very excited to teach and work with my students.            Educational Background    I received my B.S. in Elementary Education from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. I have both my reading and language arts endorsements. I student taught 1st grade, and my favorite subject to teach was reading! I’m so lucky that I get to teach it all day long.     I am currently pursuing my master`s degree at Benedictine University to become a reading specialist.  I will complete the program this December!  I only have two and half more courses to go.  I have learned so much, and I look forward to the remainder of my program.  I`m always looking for the new and best ways to teach your children. I`m so excited for all that I am still going to learn!
