Profile

Laura Neisler attended the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and graduated a Bronze Tablet Scholar with a Bachelor`s Degree in Music Education in 2006.  She recieved a Master of Music in Oboe Performance from the University of Illinois in 2007.  This is her 3rd year teaching at Long Beach Elementary.   Along with teaching at Long Beach, she is active in the Minooka Junior Music Department.  She is also the director fo the Long Beach Honor Choir (4th and 5th grade students) and the Long Beach Recorder Club (5th grade students

 

In addition to teaching music, Mrs. Neisler is the organist at the Batavia United Methodist Church in Batavia, IL and plays oboe with the Kankakee Symphony Orchestra located in Bourbannais, IL. 

 

She lives in Plainfield, IL with her husband band director Thomas Neisler and their new puppy, Levi.

 

 

Music Philosophy Statement

Music is a universal language used to express what the human spirit cannot convey in any other way.  Learning to communicate through this language allows us to be whole, integrated human beings.  The joy of music through shared musical experiences increases awareness of self and the shared human condition.
