The beginning of another school year is here, and I am excited to be working with the students at Long Beach! Personal Background Before moving to Oswego, I grew up in Wheaton, Illinois. In June, 2005, I married my high school sweetheart, Sean, who also works in the Oswego school district. We have a Welsh Terrier named Maisy, and enjoy spending time playing outside with her. I am an avid Green Bay Packer fan, which is not always popular living in "Bear Country". I LOVE to travel, and my favorite place to visit is Disney World or Italy. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, and love to spend afternoons reading a good book. Educational Background I received my Bachelor`s degree in Elementary Education and Communication Studies from Marquette University (go Golden Eagles!). During my time in Milwaukee, I was able to work with students from various backgrounds and age groups, and I found my heart was with the "older kids". Four years ago I had the pleasure of working at Homestead Elementary School as the Reading Assistant, and knew that I wanted to stay in the Oswego school district. I have enjoyed working as part of the staff here at Long Beach, and am looking forward to another successful year. Go 5th Grade!!
