Mr. Jim Nichols 3rd Grade Long Beach School Room 130 (630)636-3342 email     Background: I am entering my 21st year of teaching.  This will be my 15th year at Long Beach.  I received my Bachelor`s Degree from Aurora University and my Master`s from National-Louis University.  I have had the wonderful experience of teaching 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades.   Personal Information: I have two sons.  Steven is 16 and is a junior with wheels this year.  He loves to read and works on a farm.  When he isn`t working, he loves taking things apart and loves to build things.  Noah is 12 and is in sixth grade.  He also loves to read and enjoys anything to do with sports.  We grow pumpkins, squash, and gourds that we enter at the Sandwich Fair.  I spend my time landscaping throughout the summer and taking in all of my sons`sporting events. My favorite author is Roald Dahl and I hate to admit it, but I`m a lifelong Cubs fan.
