Mrs. Cassie Day 1st Grade Long Beach Elementary School Room 105 (630)636-3320 e-mail                                   Welcome to First Grade!!      Dear Parents,     Welcome to 1st grade!!  This is my 8th year teaching at Long Beach Elementary.  I taught Kindergarten for 5 years, and this is my third year in 1st grade.  I am very excited about this year and can`t wait for our new adventures to begin.  It is always fun to watch the students every day as they grow and learn.    I`d like to share a little bit about myself.  I live in Oswego with my husband Jeremy, and our three children.  Madison is 5 years old and is in Kindergarten this year at Long Beach, Delaney is 2 years old, and Mason is 4 months old.  They keep us on our toes, but they are so much fun!  We are also involved in our church and are always busy with activities there.    I earned my Bachelors degree from Northern Illinois University in December 2001.  In May 2006, I completed my Master`s degree from Aurora University.   I am looking forward to the opportunity of working with your child, and helping them achieve their full potential.  They are going to have many wonderful learning experiences this year, and I am excited about being part of their growth and success.  You will be amazed at how much they will change throughout this year.    I believe that a good parent-teacher relationship is necessary for maximum school success.  Throughout the year I will communicate with you through notes, e-mails, telephone calls, Day`s Daily News which is a newsletter that will come home weekly, report cards, and parent-teacher conferences.  I encourage you to contact me anytime if you have any questions or concerns.  My school phone number is 630-636-3320 and my e-mail address is cday0103@oswego308.org.     Best Regards,   Mrs. Cassie Day
