Ms. Mornar 4th Grade ELL Lynn Mornar 4th Grade ELL Wolf`s Crossing 630.636.3751mmornar0527@oswego308.org Profile I am delighted to be a member of the fine staff at Wolf`s Crossing Elementary and look forward to a successful school year with your children.   Last year, I also taught 4th grade ELL at Grande Park Elementary. It was a wonderful year, and I am so happy to see some of my old students again this year in the fifth grade!   This is my fourth full year in teaching. I am what you would call a "career changer." I spent most of my working life in various management positions in Human Resources departments. While I enjoyed the work, I had always wondered what it would be like to be a teacher. To that end, I quit my job and worked for one year as a Teaching Assistant in Naperville School District 203 to determine if teaching was the field for me. I`m happy to report that I loved it, and went on to receive my Master`s Degree in Teaching in 2004. In 2007, I received my ESL certification, after completing 21 hours of graduate coursework through National Louis University. I also have Bilingual Certification in Spanish. This past summer I spent one month in Costa Rica brushing up on my Spanish language skills.   I am married to a wonderful guy, John Quinton, and together we have one daughter, Kait. Kait is a sophomore at Southern Illinois University and is pursuing a career in teaching. People often comment that she is following in my footsteps -- to which I reply that I am following in her footsteps since she has wanted to be a teacher all of her life, while I only recently came to the profession!   I invite all parents, grandparents, and guardians to become partners with me in the education of your children.
