Sarah Saldana
This is my first full year at Fox Chase and I am extremely excited for the upcoming school year. After my husband and I relocated to Oswego, I began substitute teaching in district 308 and filled two leave positions at both Homestead and Fox Chase. I have found this to be a wonderful school district and am looking forward to teaching at Fox Chase Elementary School this year.
Before coming to district 308, I taught first and second grade in Woodridge Illinois for three years. During this time I also taught a summer Reading Clinic and Jumpstart program for struggling readers. I completed my Master`s Degree in March of 2008, which taught me a lot about myself and my teaching. This will also be my third year teaching on Saturdays at Northwestern University`s gifted program for second and third graders.
Outside of teaching I enjoy reading, watching movies, and especially cooking! I am always up for great new recipe. I also have a two year old niece that I spend a lot of time with.
Second grade is an exciting year and I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child. I know we will have a great year!
Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the year.
