Welcome to Fox Chase Music

I grew up in Addison, IL, and am the youngest of 3 children.  I always enjoyed listening to music, but didn`t start playing an instrument until 8th grade with the guitar.  By the time I got into music, I knew I had found my calling.  Throughout my four years of high school, I performed in numerous plays/musicals, sang in the choir, played string bass in the orchestra, and played guitar and electric bass in the jazz band.

After graduating high school, I attended North Central College in Naperville.  There, I earned a B.A. in Vocal Music Education.  During college, I performed in several musical ensembles, and met my wife, Diana.  My wife is a music teacher as well, and teaches choir and general music in the Kaneland School District.  Currently, I`m pursuing a Master`s degree in Educational Leadership at St. Francis University in Joliet.

I enjoy a wide variety of music.  In junior high and high school I was primarily into rock and roll, but as I`ve grown older, I`ve gotten more and more into different styles.  In college, I learned to appreciate opera, and had the opportunity to perform songs in Italian, Latin, German, French, and even some in English!  Lately, I`ve gotten more and more into jazz.  Some of my favorite groups or singers include the Beatles, Norah Jones, Elvis Costello, jazz pianist Bill Evans, Wes Montgomery, Russell Malone, John Coltrane, Bloc Party, Frank Zappa, Steve Vai, Bill Frisell, John Pizzarelli, George Gershwin, Radiohead, Charles Ives, Jimmy Eat World, Coheed and Cambria, John Williams, Anton Bruckner, and Weezer.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife Diana, and our dog Leia.  I`m an avid movie fan, and collect dvds and movie props.  I also enjoy playing guitar, reading, and pretty much anything involving the arts.
