From the time I was very young, music has been an integral part of my life. As a child I was constantly surrounded by music and encouraged by my parents to develop my musical abilities. I sang my first solo at 5 years of age.

Throughout my high school years, I participated in many different choirs and vocal ensembles. As far back as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a music teacher. To that end, I graduated from Cedarville College with a Bachelor of Music Education in 1985. I also hold a second major in Communication Arts. I have been teaching music off and on ever since with a few years off here and there when my children were small. In recent years, I have taken additional courses through St. Xavier University, Vandercook College of Music, Olivet Nazarene College and Aurora University.

I moved to the Aurora area of the Oswego school district in 2000 with my husband and 3 children. My children currently attend Bednarcik Jr. High and Oswego East High School. After teaching at a private school in Wheaton for 2 years, I began teaching in the Oswego school district at Old Post Elementary in 2002. I was at Old Post for 5 years before moving to Churchill this year.  I`m enjoying getting to know the students and staff here at Churchill and am very excited about becoming a Mustang!
