About Mrs. Von Kaenel

This is my 8th year teaching in Oswego, and this will be my 6th year teaching 4th grade!  I am so excited to get another year underway!

Here`s a little about me:

I grew up in sunny, southern California until I was in high school.  I know, why move to Illinois??  Well, my dad was transferred, so my family settled in Wheaton where I spent the next few years.  After graduating high school, I attended Eastern Illinois University where I received a bachelor`s degree in Sociology and Psychology in 2000.  I then went on to get my Masters of Teaching and graduated in 2001. 

I currently live in Aurora with my husband, Kevin, and our 2 cats, Wrigley and Homer.  As you can probably guess, I am a huge baseball fan, and I`m partial to the Cubs!  My husband and I spend many summer days enjoying games at Wrigley Field.  When baseball is over and fall sets in, we can be found most Sundays in front the TV watching the Bears or Blackhawks! 

When I`m not busy at school, I enjoy reading, working out, cooking, and baking. 

I can`t wait to learn more about all of my students!
